The Drakes Creek Watershed Foundation was created by neighbors who share a love for Hendersonville, lake life, and the natural beauty of our waterways. Living along Drakes Creek, we saw firsthand how debris, sediment buildup, and declining water quality were threatening the health of the creek and the enjoyment it brings to our community. Our mission is simple: to restore and protect Drakes Creek through cleanup efforts, water quality improvements, and community involvement. We believe that by working together, we can turn Drakes Creek into a thriving, healthy waterway that reflects the pride we all have in our “City by the Lake.”
